The photograph states that this organization was "organized to aid the Federal Government in informing the American Public through the spoken word, on questions of national importance, in defeating enemy propaganda and in aiding in the educational and inspirational war work of the nation. Operating under authority of Committee on Public Information, Washington, D.C."
