Missouri State Guard Hospital Register, 1861

Register of sick and wounded soldiers of the Missouri State Guard admitted to hospitals established at Carthage (after the battle of July 5, 1861); Springfield (after the Battle of Wilson’s Creek and engagement of December 25, 1861); Bolivar (opened August 27, 1861); Cassville (opened July 30, 1861); and Lebanon (opened October 19, 1861). Entries usually contain the soldier's name, age, state or country of birth, state of residence, occupation, rank, regiment or corps, and notation regarding his disease or wound.
