St. Louis Post-Dispatch Pure Milk and Free Ice Fund photographs, 1919

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch Pure Milk and Free Ice Fund solicited contributions to aid the St. Louis Pure Milk Commission's effort to supply pure milk for poor babies. The Post-Dispatch published photos of children who put on various neighborhood shows and entertainments and ran lemonade stands to raise money for the fund. A few photos include adults. In cases in which it was determined that a surname was likely misspelled in the newspaper, the presumed correct spelling has been added in an "alternate spelling" field in this index.
